Designer Juho Viitasalo to Introduce the New eggshell Finlandia Series
for iPhone 3GS/3G
Tokyo, Japan (March 09, 2010) – TUNEWEAR™ (www.tunewear.com)
announced the latest addition to the eggshell case series, Finlandia for
iPhone 3GS/3G with six new patterns. The new Finlandia series is a
collaboration between TUNEWEAR and Finnish born designer Juho Viitasalo,
and each case pattern is inspired by Finnish design and culture.
【eggshell Finlandia Series】
eggshell Finlandia Series for iPhone 3GS/3G is a collection of six new
case designs which are light and thin as an eggshell, and add a layer of
protection to iPhone without adding additional weight or bulk. The six
patterns were developed by Finnish born designer Juho Viitasalo, with
each graphical pattern being an abstract representation of nature in
Finland. All the names are easy to remember words in the Finnish
language.
Taimi
Taimi is inspired by the Finnish visual heritage and the winter
aurora. The name stands for a young seedling tree which is full of
energy and represents a new beginning.
Aika
Aika means time. The concept of time goes hand-in-hand with the Finnish
seasons. The white represents the nightless summer nights when the time
seems to stop. The green represents the flourishing summer nature.
Sade
Sade means rain and is inspired by the aesthetics of the Finnish
crafts. In Finland the summer rain is warm and gentle. In autumn, rain
mixes wonderfully with the colors of the leaves.
Nuppu
Nuppu takes its inspiration from traditional Finnish fabric weaving. The
name means bud and symbolizes the new life that spring brings along
after the winter.
Kukka
Kukka means flower. This warm design symbolizes the Finnish nature,
flower fields and sunshine after a cold winter. Flowers are a common
source of inspiration for Finnish designers and artists.
Isa
Isa means father. The design is inspired by beautiful snowflakes falling
on a winter evening. Finnish people spend winter evenings together with
the family by the fireplace.
Weighing only 9 grams, eggshell Finlandia gives a good secure feeling
when gripped in your hand. Made from tough polycarbonate with a rubber
coated exterior, eggshell Finlandia cases protect iPhone from light
bumps and scratches. With the case on, all iPhone ports and buttons
remain open and accessible, so there is no need to remove eggshell
Finlandia once it has been attached.
Also included inside the package are TUNEFILM protective film to
cover the iPhone touch screen, and a cleaning cloth to help wipe away
dust and finger prints.
Wallpaper to match the eggshell Finlandia design is available on the
TUNEWEAR website for downloading to iPhone or a desktop computer.
